Performance Photography
Photographing live performances comes with many challenges, but the rewards are just as great. Capturing that moment when the crowd goes wild during a song, or the pivotal turning point in a play is well worth the effort. In 2011, I worked as a staff photographer for The Lost Colony Outdoor Drama. I photographed performances, the backstage process, community events and summer children’s camp. These pictures were then utilized in social media, promotional materials, and slideshows that were used at future theater conferences like SETC. Most recently, I had the pleasure of photographing Richmond Shakespeare’s reading of The Misanthrope. This gallery offers some of my favorite performance photography. |
